Delivery Tips

Getting it right, the first time!

To ensure your furniture delivery goes smoothly, here are some measurements to be aware of. It is also important to note any obstacles that may impact the delivery, like baby gates, tight corners, or columns. Height of all doors, interior and exterior, between the entrance and room in which your furniture will be placed.

Width of all doors, interior and exterior, between the entrance and room in which your furniture will be placed.

Distance between stairs and ceiling, measured at a 45-degree angle.

Width of stairways, measured at the narrowest point, including bannister.

Height of any low-hanging lights, chandeliers, or anything else hanging from the ceiling.

Height of ceiling.

Distance between doors and walls directly facing them.

Measuring Your Furniture

Length of sofa must be less than entryway dimensions, stairway dimensions, and all interior dimensions.

Sofa diagonal depth must be less than entryway dimensions, stairway dimensions, and all interior dimensions.

Case goods diagonal and width must be less than entryway dimensions, stairway dimensions, and all interior dimensions.

Things To Consider

Height of all doors, interior and exterior, between the entrance and room in which your furniture will be placed.

Please provide us with cellular and work phone numbers as well as e-mail addresses so we can be in touch on the day of delivery.

Have there been issues with any previous deliveries at your home? If so, what happened?

Remove doors if necessary.

Be sure your driveway can accommodate a large delivery vehicle.

Make sure your driveway and walkways are clear and accessible, especially in the winter months.

Make sure your room(s) have been cleared and are ready to receive the new furniture.

Please move pictures and breakables from walls, hallways and rooms where the delivery person will be passing.

Floors may need protection not only due to inclement weather but also depending on the type of flooring in your home.

For the safety of our drivers, they are not allowed to remove their footwear or use booties due to a risk of slipping.

Please put pets in another room.
